ドイツではこの季節に飲まれるメルツェンを、ラガー酵母（下面発酵酵母）の代わりにエール酵母（上面発酵酵母）を使って発酵させることで、エール酵母由来の華やかな香りを乗せて仕上げています。
ほのかに広がる麦芽の甘さと、それを引き締めるキリリとしたホップの苦み。Viennaモルト由来の花の蜜を思わせる甘みと、Munichモルトからくるトーストしたパンを思わせる麦芽の風味が相まって、ビールが麦のお酒であることを改めて感じられる仕上がりとなっており、ほんの少し高めの温度（8～10度）で飲んでいただくことで、このビールの奥深さを感じていただけることと思います。
