奈良醸造初のコールドIPA。一般的なIPAで使用されるエール酵母ではなく、ラガー酵母を使用することによって、エール酵母由来のフルーティな香りが抑えられ、ホップのフレーバーとアロマを最大限に感じることができます。無濾過のビールながらも液体は非常にクリア。そんな見た目どおりに雑味が非常に少ないビールに仕上がっています。

トップにはNelson Sauvi由来のソーヴィニヨンブラン、El Dorado、Mosaic由来のトロピカルフルーツ、Simcoe、Talus由来の柑橘といったホップの香りがくっきりと感じられます。通常のIPAではここにエール酵母由来のエステルが重なった重厚な香りとなるのですが、コールドIPAではあくまでホップの香りが主体。ホップの香りをダイレクトに感じられます。

一口含めば、クリスプで軽やかなボディとバランスが取れた苦みが感じられ、強い目の炭酸と相まって爽やかな仕上がり。コールド IPAの特徴がはっきりと感じられるビールになりました。

"DEEP BREATH," featuring a collaboration design by illustrator Satsuki Mishima, is Nara Brewing's first Cold IPA.

Cold IPA, a beer style born in Portland in 2018, is known for its dry finish using lager yeast, emphasizing hop flavors and aromas. Unlike typical IPAs that use ale yeast, Cold IPA uses lager yeast, which ferments at lower temperatures.

The use of lager yeast suppresses the fruity aroma from ale yeast, allowing hop flavors to stand out. You'll notice Sauvignon Blanc notes from Nelson Sauvin, tropical fruits from El Dorado and Mosaic, and citrus from Simcoe and Talus hops.

With each sip, experience a crisp, light body with balanced bitterness and strong carbonation for a refreshing finish. This beer highlights the characteristics of Cold IPA.
